MARKETING ASSOCIATE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Management

  • Be the voice of salonlb. on social media, ready to engage with our audience on everything from space inquiries to questions regarding the Shop

  • Monitor salonlb.’s key social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest) daily, including responding to or redirecting audience comments to our Customer Support alias

  • Work closely with the local art community and Creative Director/Associate Director to stay up to date with information impacting our product and services to help provide the best customer experience possible for our audience.

 

Content Creation

  • Work with the Brand and Marketing Leads to deploy campaign messaging and awareness strategies that engage our target audience and communities. This includes participating in Brand team meetings and developing ideas that contribute to the broader content marketing calendar.

  • Assist the Creative Director and Marketing Lead with the ideation and execution of sweepstakes, giveaways, and partnerships across all marketing platforms

  • Content platforms include (but are not limited to): Email/CRM, social media and website

 

Campaign And Brand Team Support

  • Work with the Brand and Marketing Leads to deploy campaign messaging and awareness strategies that engage our target audience and communities. This includes participating in Brand team meetings and developing ideas that contribute to the broader content marketing calendar and working with local artists to obtain photos, copy, bios to complete content for marketing.

  • Assist the Creative Director and Marketing Lead with the ideation and execution of sweepstakes, giveaways, and partnerships across all marketing platforms

 

Reporting And Competitive Analysis

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Lead and our analytics team to report on content channel results, namely community growth, engagement, sentiment, and any feedback trends on a monthly basis

  • Track community engagement practices among our competitors as well as the larger marketplace and bring the best of those strategies to life on our channels

  • Complete an annual competitive analysis of major players in the art e-commerce and exhibition space

 

Duties:

  • Daily check-in (on scheduled workdays) with Associate Director & Creative Director

  • Weekly team status meeting to deliver updates/progress on projects

  • Communicate the brand voice through major social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter) via the development of content and copy

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop content calendars on a weekly basis

  • Capture live events or media alerts around the brand in social media 

  • Implement the social strategy through content creation (inclusive of copy/images)

  • Monitor performance of campaigns recognize trends occurring in the social media and report during weekly marketing meetings 

  • Administrative abilities as they arise 

 

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years in a community management or marketing role, whether through an internship or part time role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well across teams as well as proactively in a self-directed manner

  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker, and comfortable in a customer-facing role

  • A strong interest in social media, with digital marketing knowledge a plus

  • Experience working within marketing tools/platforms (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Mailchimp, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics) a plus

  • Passionate in the creative and arts world, especially aligned to salonlb’s brand mission, attending events and spreading the word

  • Savvy with social media (familiarity with apps, algorithm changes, analytics) 

  • Attention to detail and organized

  • Ability to work against predetermined timelines 

  • Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic work setting with a high sense of urgency

  • Preferred skills: photography, email marketing, basic graphic design in Photoshop, Canva, Facebook Ads Manager
